To continue providing safe and high‐quality drinking water to customers, Oak Lodge Water Services (OLWS) will be conducting a water system project on SE Roethe Rd on Tuesday, November 7, weather permitting.

Water Shut-Off Times

  • Oak Grove Apartments from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2023

  • All other addressess from the list above from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 7, 2023

The project will include replacing the water service for the Oak Grove Apartments, installing a new water meter and a fire hydrant.

To Prepare for the Water Shut-Off

  • Consider collecting water for drinking, cooking, and other human consumption purposes by filling a pitcher, pot or even storing a few inches of water in your bathtub so you may add water to the toilet bowl to facilitate flushing.  It is also recommended that showers/baths be taken the previous day or before or after the shut-off period.

  • Work is scheduled to take place Tuesday, November 7 from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Generally, the work will take less time than noted but we feel it is prudent to provide you with the timeframe that we will be working in your neighborhood as we are unable to provide the specific closure timeframe by address. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

  • Flush all taps for up to 10 minutes to clear the pipes after flushing operations are complete.

  • Unscrew and clean sediment from faucet aerators, the small screens attached to the base of faucet spouts. If discoloration continues, contact OLWS.

During the Project

  • Local access to homes will be maintained at all times.

  • Local residents may experience some project-related noise during work.

  • OLWS will coordinate with emergency responders and other service providers - such as the postal service and garbage haulers - to limit inconvenience to the neighborhood.

Please call (503) 353-4231 or email Ryan.Hunter@olws.org with any questions about this project.

OLWS thanks you for your support and patience as we complete this important water system improvement project.
